Darkness Matters – Costanza Julia Bani (SE/IT, 25 min, 2026)
A journey from dusk to dawn. Darkness Matters follows the course of the night through elevation zones in the Maritime Alps of Italy, from fireflies flickering in olive groves to wolves in alpine forests and ibex on mountain ridges. The film focuses on what still remains in a world increasingly shaped by artificial light. Filmed with an 8K fulldome system and cameras developed to mimic animal vision. Produced by Fellonica Film AB.
Dream – Ari Dykier (PL, 6 min, 2022)
A short fulldome film by Ari Dykier, a dreamlike visual poem for the dome.
Fallax – Huldufugl (IS/UK, 23 min, 2025)
A prisoner escapes into the Icelandic highlands and is drawn into a world where time and nature move differently. Iceland’s first VR film, featuring motion capture circus performers, loosely inspired by Icelandic folklore. Directed by Owen Hindley, produced by Nanna Gunnars, in collaboration with the British circus company Hikapee. Environments are procedurally generated in Houdini. Winner of the Immersive Award at Imagine Fantastic Film Festival 2025, official selection at Art*VR Prague and Animateka Ljubljana.
in s.asmbli – Ryoichi Kurokawa (JP, 6 min, 2020)
Ryoichi Kurokawa’s in s.asmbli explores the relationship between nature and the man-made through architectural scale. The work is based on 3D laser-scanned data from ruins and decaying buildings, distorted and reconstructed into new temporal sequences where order and disorder are layered. Co-produced by MUTEK, Stereolux/Scopitone, and TodaysArt.
Local Dystopias in the Global Utopia – Sergey Prokofjev (UKR, 10 min, 2024)
Sergey Prokofjev’s fulldome work explores the gap between local realities of conflict and global promises of the future. The film moves through three dystopian worlds, from an abandoned village with wooden skyscraper models carried by balloons to a city emerging in no man’s land.
Parallel Universe – Suvi Parrilla (FI, 8 min, 2025)
Parallel Universe draws on conspiracy theories and alternative truths. Inspired by pseudoscience and science fiction—from flat earth to the dead internet theory and electromagnetic ley lines—the film depicts the ancient Sumerian gods Anunnaki. Featuring psychedelic environments and a mysterious soundscape. Directed by Suvi Parrilla, co-founder of Aavistus Festival. Music and sound design by Aliisa Koivisto. Premiered at Heureka Science Centre Finland 2024. Nominated for the Janus Award at FullDomeFestival 2025, selected for Macon Film Festival and Nordic Film Days Lübeck.
The Happiest Thought – Agnieszka Polska (PL, 21 min, 2019)
Agnieszka Polska’s The Happiest Thought takes its title from Einstein’s insight into general relativity: that a person in free fall does not feel their own weight. The work weaves together physics, philosophy, and visual poetry into a meditation on gravity, light, and perception.
XYZ Craft – Lucas Gutierrez (ARG, 12 min, 2025)
A fulldome work by Lucas Gutierrez, working at the intersection of craft, computation, and spatial storytelling. XYZ Craftunfolds across the three axes of digital space.

Open Call
The festival’s open call received 67 submissions from 25 countries: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Estonia, Finland, France, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United Kingdom, Sweden, South Korea, Turkey, Germany, the United States, and Venezuela. 14 works were selected across animation, generative art, 360 film, and interactive installations.

Students exploring new formats
The works are developed within leading art and film institutions including SKH (Stockholm University of the Arts), Konstfack and KKH (Royal Institute of Art), where students explore the dome as a space for experimentation, collaboration and new forms of expression.
