Digital Models – new ways to explore collections

In the Digital Models exhibition, you will be able to explore examples from the Museum collections, examine digital artefacts and learn more about research at Tekniska museet.

The Digital Models research project is a collaboration between Tekniska museet and Umeå University where we have created digital copies of artefacts selected from the museum’s collections.

The project has taken a closer look at the archived collection of Carl Sahlin, Tekniska museet’s Daedalus yearbooks, and Christopher Polhem’s mechanical alphabet. By examining these digital copies in different ways, previously hidden stories about people, environments and technology begin to emerge.

In the Digital Models exhibition, you will be able to explore examples from the collections, examine digital artefacts and learn more about research at Tekniska museet.

The Digital Models exhibition opens 6 February 2019.
