Opening hours

The museum, restaurant and shop is open Monday – Sunday: 10.00–22.00

Deviating opening hours

On 7 March the museum closes at 7 pm due to weather conditions. The following day, 8 March, is the museum open 10 – 10.


Admission includes entrance to exhibitions at the museum. Free tickets and discounts are redeemed at the information desk.

Children 0–6 years have free entry
Entrance (from 7 years): SEK 160 online price and 170 SEK if you buy at ticket at the entrance.


Admission to the museum: SEK 50 for pupils/students up to the age of 19. Accompanying teachers have free entry. Send an email inquiry to skolbokning@tekniskamuseet.se at least two days before the day you want to visit. This applies to after-school centers, comprehensive schools, municipal adult education centers, and SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) classes.

Free entrance to refugees

The museum has decided to give free admission to people who have fled their home countries and seek protection in Sweden. The LMA card from the Swedish Migration Board is valid as an entrance ticket. In regards with the ongoing war in Ukraine, a Ukrainian passport is also valid as an entrance ticket.
