A place for creative maths and the skills of the future
Sweden is facing major challenges, but also major opportunities. With our branch site in Tensta, we at Tekniska museet aim to create an inspiring and accessible learning environment where mathematics is given new forms of expression. We see mathematics as the key to the innovations of the future, and here we use games, building, coding and problem-solving to make maths fun and relevant.
Our mission:
We aim to make mathematics accessible and meaningful for all, regardless of background. This is not about tests and answer sheets – with us you can explore maths in your own way, by creating music, solving coding puzzles, building robots and discovering how maths can be found in everything that surrounds us. We create a learning environment where mathematics is not just a school subject but a path to creativity, problem-solving and the professions of the future.
And best of all – it is completely free of charge to come here and take part in our activities.
The whole enterprise has been adapted to be suitable for young people aged 7 to 19, and has been made possible thanks to the generosity of Gålöstiftelsen and the City of Stockholm, and with the support of Tekniska museet’s principal partners Ericsson and Saab.
