Dome Dreaming opens with an evening dedicated to the future of fulldome storytelling. Screenings and conversations that bring together artists, filmmakers and producers exploring cinema beyond the screen. The programme moves between expanded cinema and discussion, offering both perspective and experience of the dome as a medium.

18.00 Fallax: Huldufugl
(IS/UK, 2025) Screening and Q&A (45 min) A prisoner escapes into the Icelandic highlands and enters a world where time and nature move differently. Fallax is Iceland’s first VR film, created with motion-capture circus performers and inspired by Icelandic folklore. The environments are procedurally generated, blending physical performance with digital landscapes.
19.00 Panel: Why Fulldome?
(45 min) A conversation on filmmaking for the dome. Artists and filmmakers from the programme meet Jesper Wallerborg, tech lead at Wisdome Stockholm, to discuss the possibilities and challenges of immersive formats. Moderator: Jonas Johansson
20.00 Darkness Matters: Costanza Julia Bani
(SE/IT, 2026) Screening and Q&A (45 min) A journey from dusk to dawn. Filmed in 8K fulldome, Darkness Matters follows the rhythms of the night across the Italian Alps — from fireflies in olive groves to wolves in alpine forests. The film reflects on what remains in a world increasingly shaped by artificial light.
