Museum is open – pre-book your visit

Ticket booking opened at Friday February 26, same day as the museum. You will find the link to the booking system on this page, via the pink button on the top of our site – and many other places around our site.

Rebookings do not work as they should in our new ticketing system, and we are working to fix it as soon as possible. Therefore, make sure to double check your details when you book tickets, annual cards and time slots.

Buy tickets!

Only pre-purchased entrance tickets are valid, and even those with annual passes need to book an entry slot to be able to enter the museum.

We have also made changes in how visitors can move around in the museum, creating better flows. Every exhibition has a limit of how many can visit it at the same time, so you might have to wait for your turn sometimes.

Re-opening

The museum has reopened, after being closed from October 30th, due to the situation with Covid-19 and the new recommendations from The Public Health Agency of Sweden.

As the museum welcomes back visitors, we are making sure that we do things carefully, with the safety of our visitors and staff as our top priority.

The museum covers an area of more than 10,000 m2, so there is plenty of room. However, to ensure that we can all feel safe, we will only admit a maximum of 50 visitors every half-hour, and the time spent inside the museum will be limited to 2.5 hours. Only pre-purchased admission tickets are valid. Even those who have an Annual Pass must book an admission slot in order to enter the museum.

It is important that we all contribute and to our best to stop the spread of the virus.

Annual memberships

The validity period of our Annual Passes was frozen while the museum was closed. Now that we have reopened Tekniska museet again on 26 February, all valid Annual Passes will be automatically reactivated.

The period of time during which we have been closed – four months – will be added to the expiry date of Annual Passes and gift vouchers that had already been purchased.

From now on, we are only issuing Annual Passes in digital form; the physical plastic cards will be phased out, and once they have expired, they will be renewed in digital form.

Support the museum

As for many other organisations, the coronavirus pandemic has been extremely challenging for Stiftelsen Tekniska museet, which is the foundation responsible for running the museum. The prolonged period during which the museum has not been able to open has left a major hole in our finances, as a large part of our business is funded by admission fees.

You can help to support us by buying an Annual Pass for you and your family. If you wish, you can also support us by donating a sum of your choice via Swish.

Important! Please mark your payment “Stöd Tekniska”.
