Borrowing objects

You can apply to borrow objects from our collections that are not on display in The Museum's own exhibitions
We welcome applications from other museums and institutions to borrow objects that we do not currently need for our own exhibitions or research.
Both long-term and short-term loans are available. Short-term loans are for a specified period of time. Long-term loans are for an indefinite period, but may be terminated at short notice.
Applications may be made by letter or e-mail, at least two months in advance.
Due to concerns for the safety of our collections we do not lend objects to private individuals, advertising agencies, film companies or the like.
